Sanctuary Program FAQs

Q. Why does it take up to 7 days?

A. Because we are all volunteers, we need to work around family and work schedules. Also, when we need to ask for furniture donations, it can take a few days to organise pickups of those.

Q. Can the sanctuary be done quicker?

A. Sometimes. Depending on the team leader’s other commitments and contractor schedules. If it’s done quicker, we will hand back the keys quicker.

Q. Can you pick the keys up from our office?

A. No. The support worker and team leader meet at the property to ensure it’s clean and the electricity is on.

Q. Can the client or support worker leave the keys in the letterbox or meter box?

A. No. We have an entry form that needs to be signed by both the support worker and the team leader to note handover of keys.

Urgent/Little Friends Request FAQs

Q. Can I ask for all the furniture if you can’t do a sanctuary?

A. Yes, however we may not be able to supply everything.

Q. Can you deliver the item to the house?

A. No. We never meet the client, for their safety and ours.

Q. Can I have a removalist/contractor pick up the items?

A. Yes. Please provide their contact details and our storage manager will contact them for pickup times.

Q. Do you have XYZ in stock for me to put a request in?

A. Please submit the request online. Once we have that, we can check with the storage coordinator and we will be in touch.
