This coming weekend one our wonderful Referral Agencies is hosting a disco for the women and children they are currently hosting in emergency accommodation.
We’re aiming to raise $100 for each of 20 families in our referring agent’s care to buy themselves something nice to wear to the disco. Some of these women have never known the pleasure of owning a new dress or shoes.
When people flee a violent home they often leave with only the clothes on their backs. Our referring agents tell us that even the clothes on their backs are often not in great shape.
Too often, we underestimate the power of a new feel-good item of clothing, something many of these women and children have yet to experience.
If we all can donate even $10 (that’s two cups of coffee) we’ll reach our target in no time! All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
